Long-list of ideas
This is a long, scrappy, chaotic list of the types of posts we’d be excited to read.
As always, treat these examples as illustrative rather than prescriptive!

‘Dreams of the Apocalypse’: Comparing Doomerism to previous apocalyptic movements that arose at times of technological change, eg millenarianism. Probably won’t be favourable to the doomers... (I was planning to write this myself.)

‘What if we’re right?’ Same idea but the inverse. What if AI does transform the world? What does a good/normal version of that look like for an ordinary person? I think we could then have these stories juxtaposed with each other.
‘A plea for aesthetics’: Basically a defence of the importance of aesthetics over rationality in some cases - a little like ‘The Human Prejudice’ by Williams. This is also why we shouldn’t hand over control to the benign superintelligence... This can be juxtaposed with why humanity should lose.
